Silver Linings

We want to be sharing as much as we can with you on how all of our team are doing and the revealing their highlights of their day-to-day schedules, such as playing dress-up to the park! We’ve asked Alix Stanworth, Country Manager for the UK, US and Rest Of World, how she’s finding staying at home with two little ones…

“It was the worst of times, it was the best of times!

This is our third week of lockdown in the Stanworth household and we have been trying to come up with creative ways to keep our two daughters Lottie 5 and Maggie 3, entertained while myself and my husband ‘try’ (being the operative word) work from home.

Our garden is currently a bit of a building site as we are in the initial stages of having it renovated but luckily we have a beautiful park 30 seconds from our front door so we are spending our one allocation of exercise a day in the park.  This is now turning into a bit of an event and each day the girls dress up and go on a bear hunt through the woods.  I think by the end of the lockdown our neighbours will have truly thought the isolation has got to us!

The one thing that we will be taking away from all of this is the bond between the girls has grown stronger and that they are so resilient. They haven’t seen their friends, teachers, grandparents etc for a really long time and they understand that one day we will all be reunited.

Until that day, we will continue to dance like nobody’s watching, wear that fancy hat to the park and watch every Disney film.
